I love this verse. It gives me a sense of peace. As, the Father should.
The living God is LIFE! That's something to hoot and holler about! He is the Source, the Fountain and the Sustainer of life. God spoke it into animals and plants alike - but he also spoke it into the lungs of Adam and man became a living soul - just like you and me.
But then there's Jesus - one of pure light - eternal light and the source of all light.
He is light and in Him there is no darkness; for he said,
"I am the light of the world." - John 8:12
A simple prayer
Oh Heavenly Father - How you continue to amaze me! I love to praise and thank you for the life of your son Jesus Christ, who is my life and my light of my very being. Thank you so much for rescuing me from the darkness and bringing me into the light of your glorious kingdom of knowing you. Thank you for giving me my new-life in Christ. I pray that we, as believers can live each day in a way that is pleasing to You, by placing my self-life on the cross and living in the spirit and truth to Your praise and glory! Amen!
